Live life to the fullest...Become a magnet for the miraculous!

Faith filled expectations II

One cold and miserable day last October, it was raining hard close to the time that Jonathan arrived home from school. I knew that he had not taken his umbrella to school, and would have to walk up our half-mile driveway with no protection from the rain. I couldn't pick him up in our truck, because my toddler was asleep in his bed and couldn't be left alone. In desperation I cried out "Dear Lord, please help me. I can't let my little boy get wet and cold, but I have no way to get him. Please help me." No sooner was the last word out of my mouth, than the rain stopped abruptly. It was comparable to someone shutting off a faucet.Jonathan emerged several minutes later, red-cheeked from the cold. As soon as the front door closed, the rain came pounding down again. I told Jonathan of my prayer, and he sat listening, his mouth agape in disbelief. Soon it was my turn to be surprised. Jonathan told me that as the bus pulled up to the drive, it was still raining hard. The minute that he prepared to walk out the doors of the bus, the rain stopped. Not one hair was wet! We witnessed together the power of prayer.
